Everything begins with ground truth | PeaceEye visited Nigeria
Last week in Nigeria, I had the opportunity to stand alongside my colleague Muyiwa Ezekiel Oshundele, representatives from LAUTECH and AKSU, the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) — where we reaffirmed our commitment to strengthening cooperation on conflict prevention and early response.

These encounters once again highlighted what bottom-up truly means: learning from those who understand the realities and needs of affected communities best, building trust, and co-creating solutions that deliver sustainable impact for people on the ground.
Through PeaceEye FlexCo, I aim to bridge these perspectives — turning geospatial and local insights into actionable information for both local stakeholders and international decision-makers. In real time. Driven by needs on the ground.
Standing among such dedicated professionals was a powerful reminder that peace starts with understanding and trust — and grows when knowledge, empathy, and technology come together.
More to come as we continue exploring how collaboration and geospatial intelligence can help prevent conflicts before they arise.
