ESA Acceleration Days
Grateful to have been part of ESAAccelerationDays. Happy to see how open collaboration and shared purpose can turn ideas into real impact.
Working together with Matthias Traub (Invenium Data Insights GmbH), and Georg Rinnhofer (World-Direct eBusiness solutions GmbH), supported remotely by Z_GIS – Department of Geoinformatics, University of Salzburg, once again showed of how much can happen when people from different fields unite around one goal – in our case providing emergency coordinators with near real-time insights from satellite data and mobile phone floating data to help saving lives.
Like the claim “Accelerate Crisis Preparedness” – strengthening preparedness and the hands-on management of emergencies through EO-based solutions – at PeaceEye FlexCo, this is exactly what we’re building.
Congratulations to the winners Trillium Technologies and to all the other competing teams. We all agreed at the end, the only thing we missed was to get to know each other better.
Thanks to the European Space Agency – ESA for the excellent setting and keynotes Isabelle Duvaux-Bechon and to the Brussels Police, safe.brussels, and all the mentors for their support. And special thanks to Jean-Luc TRULLEMANS for his valuable insights into space policy and his great sense of humor, and the entire ESA Redu team for their hospitality which made it very special for us!
