As part of the lead-up to the AGIT 2026 Conference, PeaceEye is proud to host Mapping Hope, a 2-day workshop and a collaborative space where geospatial researchers, peacebuilding practitioners, policy actors, and the PeaceTech industry come together around a shared purpose: advancing conflict prevention, digital inclusion, and locally grounded innovation across Sub-Saharan Africa.

This online panel session bridges geospatial technology, policy, and peacebuilding, exploring how spatial data and mapping tools can drive more peaceful, equitable outcomes across Sub-Saharan Africa.

In-person Session: Innovations in Geospatial Peacebuilding
📢 Call for Young Researchers, Innovators, Peace Practitioners & Students
Inspire others with your work. This session offers a dynamic platform for researchers, innovators, industry experts, and peacebuilding practitioners to connect, share, and showcase cutting-edge technical approaches for conflict prevention, digital inclusion, and peacebuilding — going beyond traditional geospatial methods.
The session runs across two parallel tracks:
🛠 Technical Track
Brief (5 minutes) demonstration of platforms and tools making a real difference in conflict-affected contexts.
🔬 Research Track
Rapid-fire (3 minutes), high energy presentation of output from researchers working at the intersection of geospatial technology and peacebuilding in Africa.
How to Participate
We welcome speakers, presenters, and contributors across both tracks. To express your interest, kindly register by filling out the Mapping Hope Workshop Registration Form and send an email to office@peaceeye.at with your track of interest as the subject line and a brief description (abstract) of what you plan to contribute in the body of the email.

The Mapping Hope Workshop takes place as part of the AGIT 2026 Conference.
Day 1 (Online): A brief registration is required via the form: Mapping Hope Registration Form. Attendance is free.
Day 2 (In Person): A brief registration is required via the form: Mapping Hope Registration Form. Additionally, for this in-person session, prior registration for the AGIT 2026 Conference is required. Please visit the AGIT 2026 official website to complete your registration.
Note: Workshop attendance is included as part of your AGIT 2026 conference registration.
